how do u save a song or file u created to a wav or mp3 , not as just a Soundtrack file.
 
Use the Export function to a 44.1 16-bit .aiff file, throw it into iTunes and convert it there.

You can also convert it with the QuickTime Player if you have QT Pro.

It looks like soundtrack only exports to .aiff, as this is the main audio file-format of FCP.
