I've been searching for a good source for selling old Macs. I have a G5 with dual 23" Cinema displays and a G4 with 17" Studio display. I'd really like for them to go to someone who would enjoy them. They still work great but I have no use or ROOM for them anymore.

Marketplace would probably be the first suggestion, but I'm not even gonna go into why I won't use it. Same with Craigslist. ebay is "ok" but shipping will kill any chances of selling it. Plus the fees!

If anyone has any suggestion like a site that features a lot of Macs for sale, please let me know!

This forum has a marketplace that is difficult to access, but the 68kmla forum has a better one. It seems like with the shipping problem, craigslist would be the first choice for finding a local buyer.

I second this, I check Craigslist often. Local pickup is so much better, the plastic is getting old and brittle and shipping machines with any kind of age can end very badly.

You mean you don't want to use FaceBook Marketplace?

That's really the best way to find local buyers, but if you don't want to use it, then you're really not left with much you already are not ruling out.

I'll second 68kmla but it's really newer stuff than sells well there, tho the more places you list it the better chances you have finding a local buyer.

The vintage of this PPC stuff isn't going to bring a lot of interest at any price, and I get a lot more parting stuff of the PPC age out when that is possible, but then you end up with leftover parts you may not want to store until someone needs them.

Check out the Low End Mac group on Facebook. I heard from Greg Hrutkay in a Hrutkay Mods video that there's some good stuff posted in that group.

I’ve had success buying and selling with OfferUp, its replaced Craigslist for my local buy/sell needs, kind of a crappy app design though
