Sources for used/refurbished MacBook sales

Not sure if there are any sources out there other than Apple's website, but I need a laptop for my daughter. Don't have the money to buy a new one so I was wondering if there are any good sites out there that offer older model Macbooks for $500 or so. Doesn't have to have the DVD burner, CD burner would be nice but also not a necessity.
