I have an Apple wired aluminum keyboard. One without the number pad. I wanted to take black keys from a MacBook Pro and put them on it. Well I put the bottom row on and then got to the second row and the clips are flipped 90 degrees from the MacBook Pro keys. So I couldn't put the black ones in. So I took the first row out. Then put the white keys in again. Got them in and the space bar only registers in the middle.
It's like it won't push down the full key all the way across like it used too. And only works if you click in the center or both sides at once. The button underneath the key is in the middle. Any way I can fix this? Closest Apple store is 3 1/2 hours away and BestBuy is 1 1/2 hours away, so I can't take it to an Apple rep.
