Space bar won't work when logged in?

Interesting issue. Mac is about a month hold, it's a white macbook.

When logged in as a user, the spacebar will not work.

At login prompt it works, and in single user/safe mode it works.

Any ideas? I've been googling and can't find a solution. I'd rather not do an os reinstall!

If that doesn't work, check your login items and see if there is a program that starts automatically that can be binding/reprogramming that key.
