I am having a difficult time deciding between space black SS and space grey aluminium Apple Watch.

I swimming 3-4 times a week and is wondering which offers better corrosion resistance to both chlorine and salt? thanks

As long as you rinse both watches after a swim, I doubt that corrosion would be an issue with either one. The bigger difference between the 2 watches are the lens and the coating. If cost is not a factor the SS screen and body will be able to take more abuse with out penetrating the surface. If your just considering corrosion, I don't think it really matters as long as you clean your watch from salt and chlorine residue on a regular basis.

Thanks. I know polished SS (regular) is likely more durable than anodized aluminium. But what about the coated space black SS? Does it need any special care other than rinse and wipe?

No. same care. Less care than SS if you consider you might have to polish the SS.

I doubt the SS will need much "polishing." My dive computer is SS and the only thing I ever do is wipe off the face with a lint free cloth after rinsing in fresh water.
