Space Grey Keyboard and Trackpad are two different shades, is this normal?

I recently bough a Mac Mini, keyboard and trackpad.. all in space grey. The mac mini and trackpad match identically, but the keyboard is a much darker shade. Is this normal? I know Apples changed space grey a few times, just found it odd that all current versions wouldn't match.

I have a number of "space grey" devices from Apple and third parties. I don't think a single one is the same colour.

I think it's inherent to the process they use to anodise the aluminium, rather than a deliberate choice.
