Is there a way of making the spacebar on a mac act like an enter key? It's anoying always having to press enter. Like on windows if you press space, it acts as an enter key. Anyway around this?

The spacebar has other functions in Mac OS X, like Quick Look. It's better to learn how things work in Mac OS X before you try changing things and possibly screw something up.

I don't understand. It's the same number of keypresses as long as you press the right one, isn't it?

I'm confused...
I'm on a Windows machine right now and my space bar acts like a space bar, not an enter key.

Why would you want the space bar to act like an enter key?

Yeah, in a word processing program. Expand your thinking a bit to other types of applications. For example, AutoCad for Windows requires a "return" (enter) to execute a command. Sometimes it takes several of them to get through a sequence. I'm sure many other programs have similar needs for that Enter key. Having the space bar as a substitute is convenient.

Spacebar

I am having a problem with the screen scrolling down when I press the spacebar. Also, when I press the delete button, the page goes back to the previous page, and I'm unable to use the arrow keys when all of this is going on.

Pressing the spacebar to scroll down and pressing the delete button to go back to a previous page in Safari is normal. That's what those keys are designed to do.
