i have never used ubuntu or leopard (obviously) but i'm fairly confident i understand the concept of spaces. my question though is will spaces in leopard be open to third party apps to add in transition effects? will it be possible for someone to reproduce the cube effect from ubuntu, or other new ideas no one has thought of? or will it just be whatever apple decides?

i could see someone making a screen saver that just cycles through all your spaces. or someone creating a version of cover flow that uses spaces instead. or even (even though i wouldnt use it) vista's 3d program switcher thing they think is so cool. or someone putting different spaces on different monitors. or multiple spaces at the same time. i could see alot of possiblities.

i could see a senario where apple provides spaces. but the means to access those spaces are open to interpretation. or i could see it as just locked down, this is it, deal with it. and i'm not an expert. so i dont know!

anyway, i know it's trivial. but transitions are fun!
