I am having an issue with spam calendar events getting suggested in my Calendar. This is super annoying.

Basically, spammers are sending me "meeting" invitations, and iOS is "helpfully" adding them as suggested events in my calendar. I even get reminders to attend them.

I have a pretty basic setup. I use the default Mail and Calendar apps, and my email is an Outlook account. The most annoying part about this is that Outlook.com is filtering these spam invitations into the Junk mail folder, but iOS still thinks it's a good idea to add them as a suggested event in the Calendar.

Has anyone found a way to stop this? I've searched in the Mail, Calendar, and Apple Intelligence settings for some way to block these from getting added, but haven't found anything that works.

I have also tried deleting the associated emails from my Junk mail folder, but this doesn't do anything to fix the issue.

This is an 'Outlook' thing so your first recourse is to block the spammers in outlook or set it up do delete them when they are junk rather than sending them to a folder.
Then, you can go to settings> calendar and under 'siri' turn off 'suggestion notifications'. Also I think 'show in app'?
You can also go settings>siri & search >mail > turn off 'show siri suggestions'
I suggest you play with that and hopefully find something that covers what you want an not much more

It happens with other email providers like Gmail too, so it’s not an “Outlook” thing.

Also, here are my Calendar settings, the specific ones you mentioned don’t even exist. Like I wrote before, I searched all related settings before posting:
