Spare iPhones, want to setup Surveillance, App advice ??.

Hi,

Quick advise needed on Surveillance apps.

I have 2 spare iphone 4 not being used. Can anyone suggest me a good trusted app so that I can setup a cheap Surveillance option for my home.

Preferably, I want to use it remote when we are out of town for few days. Wifi is always on, so the phones will be powered and connected to network all the time.

I think it is safe to say that Apple does not allow any type of surveillance app in the App Store. You're only option would be to jailbreak the phones...

There was a video Howto on Cnet recently so apple would allow. Just that the reviews of that app was not the best. I think that app was like iCam or something.

I found that on a quick search. I have no idea if the monitoring device has to be on the same local network as the camera. The video was proof enough for me to at least tell you about it. Was kind of surprised this existed really. I am not sure how many people would use their idevice as a camera. But hey, you want to, so maybe there is a demand I am unaware of.
