Spark email-Unread

Spark is a good email client but they have for years now been releasing all sorts of clever stuff - the latest being delegation. But they refuse for some inexplicable reason to add an industry-standard 'unread' filter. So easy, OK, so you can type 'is:unread' in the search bar - so why can't this just be a bottom click like any other filter they choose to add? So disappointing. I don't want to have to type 'is:unread' everytime I want to see my unread emails.
