Spatial Scene Effect Photo Widget

I had exactly one photo right after I updated that had the spatial scene effect work.

Since then, no photos work anymore.

I’ve tried:
- restarting
- deleting and recreating the widget
- restarting again
- turning it off and back on and restarting.

Nothing works.

Any ideas?

You are lucky you even went to that stage. I can't do anything once I click Spatial Scene; no option of any kind to do anything after. I have to close the Photos app to get back to normal. I think it's a bug.

I can press on the spatial scene button in photos app on my iPhone 14 Pro, and it creates the 3d effect (very cool by the way), but I just simply cannot get the home screen widget to work

A photo worked today 😭

Every time a photo wasn’t working before this morning, I could press into it and then go and manually turn on the spatial in Photos and it would work within Photos, but then never work on the Home Screen widget.

Interestingly enough, both widget photos that worked were water/sea photos

*edit: I went back out to the Home Screen after posting this here, and the photo went back to not working in widget.

**iOS 26 is a demon. I just went back to Home Screen after posting the edit above, and the widget photo was working again.

I am still having issues to get it to work, it would do the effect, but doesn’t give me any options to save or anything, I have to completely terminate the photos app to do anything, I hope this get fixed in the next update.

That would be even more bothersome if it didn’t even work in Photos app.
