Hi, neighbours – I'm trying to understand an issue. Historically, in the system Sound menu, "Spatialize Stereo > Head Tracked" is available at all times on macOS, iPadOS, and iOS for audio devices that support spatial audio. Among my devices, those include Beats Fit Pro and AirPods Max. Now that single option is displayed as unavailable only on macOS, and only since upgrading to Sequoia. It's still available in iOS 18 and iPad OS 18 using the same audio devices.

So far, I haven't found a single other report of this happening. Is this a bug, or is it somehow intentional? Has anyone else noted this?

go to settings -> accessibility -> audio -> Spatial Audio follows head movements
ensure this option is turned on
