Speaker going loud then low anyone have this

As I have noticed the last two days my speaker is set to high, but as I am typing my key clicks go from loud to very low then loud again and so on.

I noticed some funky issues after 3.1.3

Has anyone else noticed this, also my screen dims out once and a while is that a new power saving feature?

That would explain the screen.

And as for the keyboard clicks, is any part of your hand covering the speaker maybe?

This. It's very simple for your hand to partially cover the speaker, and it affects the volume dramatically.

Neither is my case, my hand is not covering the speaker, and Auto Brightness is turned off I checked that when I first noticed the dim screen issue. I may have to take it to Apple once again.

Hmmm

Do you have auto lock on?

I know that if you don't touch the phone for a while, the screen will dim shortly before shutting off completely.

Could this be it?
