Speaker Interference

Hey guys...

I've had my i7 Macbook Pro since September 2010 and have just noticed with the speakers that I have that if the laptop is not plugged into the mains, I get a buzzing noise through my external speakers, but when it's plugged into the mains it's fine :/

Anyone else had this issue? I'm not sure if it's the speakers, but still seams like an odd thing for them to do... Obviously some kind of earthing issue?

Any help would be great!

Yes, it's probably a grounding issue.

Do you know if there are any grounding issues on these? I do usually get a small blue spark when I plug in USB devices, which is never good!
