Speaker issues

Hey

I have an issue with my speakers. I have a Macbook pro 15"

1. The speakers are not being recognised in the 'sound' aspect of system preferences
2. It is not letting me adjust the volume, or change any settings

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Take it into an Apple Store. Probably a fried sound board.

After reading a few other forums, I fixed the issue by resetting the 'PRAM'.
