Apple has changed the speaker on the 6 to only 1 with less holes. I know that on previous iPhones that one was a speaker, the other a microphone.

Do you guys think that it will still be loud or even louder then the 5s?

Since we're just speculating, I think the 6 will be louder. I've never been impressed by the iPhone 5 speaker, and I'm guessing/hoping they used the bigger phones to put some bigger drivers in there.

The number of holes shouldn't really affect the output at these tiny sizes.

I hate using my iPhone speaker regardless of how good/bad it may sound. I always throw on my headphones if I am not in my car on bluetooth. If I don't have my headphones, I keep the conversation real short (god for bid we hold the phone up to our ear with our hand)

Every year the phone's speakers get better (including the S models)

My 4S's speaker was clearer and louder than my 4.

The 6 will most likely have a better speaker.

It's needs to be louder for navigation. The rental car I used recently didn't have Bluetooth and I had a hard time hearing the directions. Just make it louder! It can always be turned down. Ugh!
