Here's the situation: I have a speaker system setting on my desk. Normally, my computer sets on my desk with it, and is connected to it. While I'm at my desk, my wife is often sitting on the couch across the room, with her computer. What I'd really like to do is somehow allow her to control the music coming out of the speakers on my desk. Both machines are PPC Macs running Tiger.

Can iTunes do this natively? It just seems like there should be some way to flip iTunes into "AirTunes" mode, so another iTunes can control your speakers.

I also seem to remember there being a piece of third-party software that would redirect any sound on any Mac to any other Mac. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Finally, do any of your answers change if:
1. All of the music is stored on my machine
2. All of the music is stored on her machine
3. Some music is stored on each machine

Thanks!

I would love to turn my Mac into an airtunes capable speaker as well, but I did not find a solution for that. The software you mean is probably AirFoil.
