Speakers experiment for post-2012 iMac 27" owners

I found that my iMac 27" (late 2012 generation) speakers seemed to create a weird resonance at low frequencies. E.g. when watching movies and a man speaks it sounds funny. I isolated the frequency and made a youtube clip with a pure tone. Boy this really sounds intense on my iMac.

Does anybody else notice it sounds like aliens landing in your house?
