I have a iMac & Zoom R16http://www.samsontech.com/products/productpage.cfm?prodID=2009

Its a recorder, interface, controller.

Right now, I only have a set of studio monitor, and connect my iMac to it via XLR and R16 to it via unbalanced RCA.
However, there a lot of induced noise due to the unbal RCA. So the best way out recommended by people was that I connect my R16 to the monitors via XLR and get a new set of speaker for my iMac.

What do you guys think? What the current best way out for me?

A new speaker, or just go on suffering the induced hum. It is wise to have 2 speakers on 1 table?
