A while a go I went to the genius bar because my speakers weren't working. They said that it was the logic board. I used external speakers. I recently installed ubuntu on a separate partition and my internal speakers worked. Hoping for the best I booted into my os x partition (speakers don't work on SL, Lion, or ML) only to find the speakers still didn't work. What should I do?

Under system preferences open sound. Check input and output. Sometimes its easy to forget something is being used.

I can't change anything in system prefs unless my speakers are plugged in and they have to be plugged into the headphone jack if they are in the speaker jack they don't work.
