Took a snapshot from the guided tour of Mobile Me, and our favorite Mac rep John demonstrates how Mobile Me works.

But look at his Macbook Air. It has no built-in iSight?!

Maybe I'm crazy. Watch for yourself:

I think it's just a display model. Look at how bright it is especially at that angle! My LED MBP doesn't look that good at a similar angle. Also, when he goes to the Air ... he barely touches it and they switch to the OS X screen grab.

in professional video production such as this just about everything is fake, propped or manipulated. Thing about those commercials of pizza hut pizza with the cheese all gooey and glowing and tomato sauce all red. They melt the cheese first then put thawed uncooked pepperonis sprayed with oil on top so the cheese doesn;t melt and cover them. Smoke and mirrors. i do it everyday at work.

Cool! Any other stories? (not sarcastic). I saw a show once about this stuff and apparently they put lipstick on strawberries in commercials, lol.

And to the OP - GOOD EYE!

I think I heard somewhere that the milk they use in cereal commercials / box art is actually shampoo.

I found the same odd MacBook Air, sans iSight and with a brighter screen, on the Apple Retail Store website.

It's right under "We're Here to Help" and next to "Everything Apple"

The screen brightness doesn't surprise me, as I'm sure they just punched it up in Photoshop.

But the lack of iSight is odd. The 3G iPhone is terribly interesting. What is it doing there? That shot is from months ago.

It's probably no big deal...

I doubt it's even an actually MBA, but a prop they use for pics and videos.
