Hello, not sure where to ask the question so apologies if there was a better-suited forum to post this in.

All of our family members have individual icloud accounts, so we can use facetime, imessage etc. That bit works great. We also have a 'shared' apple ID for itunes purchases (which we have been using for long time, way before Family Sharing came into being).

I have a ton of photos and video (50GB+) in OSX Photos, and I'm considering using iCloud backup - but I would like to use the family itunes account to hold the backup. However in preferences in Photos I can't add that particular account, the app uses the default icloud account for that user? ie. it could be mine that I use for imessage etc. My intention being that if I use the 'itunes' one then I can use some store credit that's on that account and would also make it accessible to other users on the machine.

I hope this makes sense? Not sure of there's a way round this.

Thanks in advance
valmiki
