What is impacted specifically by upgrading to 2.4GHz? I am not sure I need it, but just trying to understand what is affected?

Processor intensive tasks include video gaming, and video encoding, which the 2.4GHz will be better at :)

so for someone like me who does not play video games (anymore) and really is more focused on general uses, the 2.2GHz seems more than sufficient?

Look at it this way:

You wouldn't notice a difference going from a 2ghz core duo to a 2.4ghz core 2 duo for general uses ;) So the 200mhz is meaningless to you :)

In reality, I don't think the difference is large enough to justify putting out the extra $500 for an extra 200mhz of power. Granted, the graphics are a little better and the HDD a little bigger, but for me at least, I can't justify $500 for 200mhz of extra processing power. For someone who is constantly using processor hungry applications it's probably different. For me, I'll take the 2.2ghz and be happy. :D
