I recently bought a Speck Candyshell on eBay for about $20. When it arrived it didn't seem new like it was described. I did a little bit of researching and I came across this video about differences between a real case and a fake. If you look on the inside of your case it tells you where your case was made. My Candyshell was made in Taiwan.

I'm starting a poll to see how many real cases are out there.

Real cases were made in China.
Fake cases were made in Taiwan.

Bought 3 (2 candy shell and 1 candy shell grip) from speckproducts.com, all 3 say Made in Taiwan. Sorry to burst your bubble but your above comment is 100% inaccurate.

Bought ones that were made in taiwan before and they were all legit though, with the serial numbers and all.

Not true at all. They have plants in both countries.

That said, there are tons of fakes out there. Best way to tell a fake-price. You are not buying one of these cases for less than $25 unless it's fake. Buy it from Amazon Sold and shipped by Amazon, or retail store.
