I think I fell asleep a few hours ago while working on my MBP above my bed.

Somehow pushed the MBP off the edge while sleeping and it fell right on the marble floor.

I woke up to the sound of it hitting the floor and realized what just happened before even opened my eyes.

Checked the MBP and the only trace of the accident were a few scratches on the back right-hand corner of the case.

I'm sure if that hit came directly on the MBP's body it would've dented/deformed the aluminum body and maybe the screen wouldn't close any more.

First real test of this speck case, it works and it's worth it.

No more leaving my MBP on the bed............

I've repaired macbooks that have fallen on an edge, and EVERY single peice of casing must be replaced, except for the bottom cover. I have to say, you're very lucky that you had that case on, since it would have been a disaster without it.

Can you post the case you use?

I'm a sucker for happy endings.

I'm just glad your mac turned out fine, dropping my MBP would be horrifying!

For those asking,

I am using the Satin See-through Case - Black :p

The more valuable something is, the more it is prone to be lost/broken.. (There's an actual saying in this sense, but I forgot!) :D

lol , awesome thread. I just got a SPECK case, primarly for the awesome color ( aqua ). But , obviously, it's good protection as well.
