Speck hardcases - still scratching?

When I bought an Incase hardcase from a US user here for my MB 18 months ago, my research showed that unlike Speck cases they were not going to inadvertently scratch the laptop.

I am about to receive a new 'SD' MBP today and want the security of a case. Are the Specks still scratching in your experience?
