Hey everyone, recently I've been debating upgrading to Mojave but i have a few questions that i hope someone could help me to clear up.
I'm currently running 12-Core 2.93 5,1 64gigs Ram, Saphire Pulse 8gb (Apple dev kit model) 2 AHCI drives with 2 additional fusion drives using bootrom 85 all running Sierra 10.12.6
This computer rarely connects to the internet, it is exclusively used for Logic Pro X, Mainsatge FCP X, Photoshop and Motion.
Its my understanding that BoomRom 89 onwards contains the Spectre /Meltdown updates. Has anyone seen any noticeable slowdowns in reference to Pro Apps because of this? I have a vague understanding of what could be impacted and why, but i have read that the FCPX timeline thumbnails refresh would be an example of High small Page in/outs and thus might be affected?
I also understand that BootROM 138 enables 5GT/s for video cards..does this actually translate to any real world speed improvements?
