Hello all,

for my Master Thesis I need to work with Catia V5 R16 (my university is entiteled to sell academic licences :). Currently I own a white Macbook 13" with the 2.4 GHz Core2Duo and 4GB RAM, which is not the most powerful machine for graphic intensive applications on the market ;o)

Therefore I am considering to replace the white one with a unibody 13" Macbook Pro. I am aware that this one is far off the professional CAD Workstations as well.

My question / request is: can anyone of you with a MBP 13" (9400M) download the www.spec.org --> Specviewperf 10 Open GL benchmark and run the Catia test under WinXP and Boot Camp? (its free and sort of industry standard).

With WinXP in Parallels 4.0 I get a result of 1.41 Frames per second ;o))) With the 8600 GT on a "proper" PC I get 9.22 Fps.

Thank you in advance for all the efforts! The results will help me with my decision.

Best regards, greets from Tschermany ;o)

Michael
