Speech Recognition at Iphone

Hi,

I am new at this form, i want a help about the speech recognition at the iphone. is it possible to recognize a speech or convert a speech into text at the iphone. i want to make a application that perform an action according to user voice, means if user say the command like "close" then application will close automatically.

Yeah...that would be a cool app. I think the voice recognition opens apps ("Play itunes") not sure if they can close them or convert them to speech just yet. I think apple's voice recognition software will continue to evolve and add more features down the road. I just hope it doesn't take as long as cut & paste or SMS did.
