I'm desperate to transcribe an audio recording into text but I'm really struggling. I've googled loads of things, downloaded software, followed advice on blogs and websites and I'm still stuck. I downloaded an app that looked promising but after spending a fiver on upgrading so that I could use the transcribe option it just struggled. Apparently it sends the text to Apple somehow where it's transcribed and then text is supposed to appear but it took 10 minutes to achieve about 6 words and my recording is nearly an hour long. I've tried to use the dictate feature on the macbook, downloaded the enhanced dictation software but still won't work. I think the reason for most of the failure is that because of Siri the device only recognises my voice and not those on the tape.
Anyone have any ideas? I tried an online google site but it wouldn't work, then I read it needed Chrome (I use Opera mostly) so I download Chrome but it still wouldn't work.
