Ok well you know how we all have our moments on our computer when it freezes and decides to PMS and not work, but ya after looking at activity monitor, i've noticed how much stuff was up (see attachments). Now i recognize some stuff, like Growl and dock, but other stuff but others I do not recognize, assuming that'd be system related stuff and i'm just wondering how I can not have so much stuff going on so my comptuer would go faster a lot more than it does now.

Along with that i've noticed this and I find it quite strange. When I have enough stuff up at once that use the system, my system memory goes down. I see it from 2.52 GB then it like goes down to 2.45 GB and keeps going smaller little by little and other times it just stops then continues. It's the weirdest thing, but then if I restart my computer or force quit firefox or something it goes back up. Why does it do this and how can I prevent it from doing that?
