speed on the 15 inch PB 1 Ghz or 1.25?

I am going to be getting a fifteen inch powerbook soon and I was wondering
if there is a major speed difference between the 1 and 1.25 Ghz speeds. I expect to be doing some graphics intessive gaming to is the speed bump needed. When I upgrade it with everything I need it only comes out to be 100 dollars more.

Depends on what you mean by "major." I would say yes, based on the benchmarks available at both macspeedzone and at barefeats. The 1.25 offers what looks like a pretty significant improvement over the 1.0 GHz. Whether that is important enough to you to justify the extra $ only you can decide.

apple.com has the 1.25ghz 15" 80gb, superdrive, airport, for $1999 refurbished.. just went down too..
i'd jump on it.
