I use a number of Dell laptops for work projects, and now that I know how to upgrade the RAM and HD's to SSD's, they move fantastically fast.

Now I want to get an even cooler laptop :apple: :)

If I have the full RAM capacity and an SSD option, will Windows 7 (which I HAVE to use, for work things) move just as fast on a Mac as an upgraded Dell? It's mostly (MOSTLY) for browsing around online, is the Windows run in some "virtual" mode or something which slows it down?

For a while I used Windows 7 Ultimate which was able to run Windows XP in a "virtual" mode which slowed down the XP version considerably.

Here's my question: Windows 7 on a Mac: can I get the same performance or better on a Mac as on a Dell?

Thanks in advance, for those who know from experience.....

In my experience, the performance of Windows, when installed on a separate partition on an Apple PC, has been good but I've always found that the Windows experience has always been better when using non-Apple hardware.
