Found this on youtube, boot times are almost identical. What do you guys think?

From his desc.
This is a speed test of the Macbook (2.4Ghz, 4GB Ram, 250GB HDD) and the 17 inch Macbook Pro (2.93 Ghz, 8GB Ram, and 320GB HDD)
Even though the Macbook Pro clearly won, I am a little disappointed since my dad paid 4 time as much for the Macbook Pro as I did for my Macbook, and the Macbook Pro was brand new without any software or files on the Hard Drive while my Macbook was stuffed with 200 GB of files and programs. I can only recommend getting the Macbook instead of the Macbook Pro since it is so much more pocketable and a hell of a lot cheaper.

This is only showing boot times, nothing more. If you were to do video editing, or rendering... the macbook pro would blow the macbook out of the water (9400m vs 9600m). High computer specs will only increase boot times so much, but shouldn't be the deciding factor on what you buy.

yea i agree. just regular boot times most computers are going to be about the same. not a good comparison.

Well I bet there are some people around that just watch their computer turn on and off non-stop :p I wonder if that guy knows anything at all about MacBooks (Pros). His dad paid about 4 times as much for a much better screen, much better graphics, more expandability, better processor/battery, more RAM and better speakers. Yet, his MacBook is so totally more worth it :p
