It's gone unbearably slow. I wish I could put cyanogen mod on it but it's not being recognised by laptop or desktop.
I'm going to upgrade this year but what can I do? It's too slow.

I like CM but please don't install it on the GTab2. (the best drivers for the GTab are in the stock ROM) I own a Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 (Student Edition with the keyboard dock).

I rooted mine and removed the Samsung bloatware... kept TouchWiz. The result was a device that was faster and snappier than when it was new. It really did breath new life into it.

That's what I'd recommend. Even if you don't like TouchWiz, you can use Nova Launcher. I like TouchWiz because even on a lowly GTab 2 it supports windowable applets.

My wife now uses the GTab 2, I just purchased a GTab Pro 8.4 (Best Buy has it on sale for $249)
