I have a 20" iMac (2006) model. These are the specs:

I also have a new MB (2.4 4gb). The iMac I have is the early 2006 model that wont allow me to go past 2gb ram. Now I know that due to the 4gb of ram, the MB will run faster, also because of the processor. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to speed up my iMac? I run Onyx from time to time, and I verify the disk, but there is such a big difference between the two, especially through Firefox. Any suggestions?

if you want to really speed up your iMac do a complete erase and reinstall the OS. it is pretty drastic but since you have the new MB this computer has probably taken a back seat im guessing. so give it a shot i guarantee that it will work.
