Hi all,
I am asking question about the keyboard switching of applications in Mac.

I know there are cmd-tab and can cycle through different opening applications to bring it up. However, it's quite annoying to tab so many times if I got (usually..) > 8 applications opening. I wonder are there any ways to make it
switch by typing , just like in finder, you type the first few letter of the folder/file you want to select, then done, it's there.

Because I don't really like to click or hit button many times, so currently I am using expose to swtich application and seldom use cmd-tab

thanks!

Yay! Another chance for me to rave about Quicksilver :D

You can do this with QS, just invoke it, start typing the program name and hit enter. It'll bring that app to the front.

Install QS from here:
http://code.google.com/p/blacktree-alchemy/downloads/list
(b56a2 is the best IMO)
and once you've done that make sure 'running applications and processes' is ticked under the catalog pane in preferences

You can also use spotlight, but it's pretty slow.

thanks, it works!

The version I got from you link is not running in my leopard..weird..
now I have to switch back to my old quicksilver got from official qs homepage.:)
