Spigen Neo Hybrid vs Tough Armor - lack of protection

Here are my cases with my 6 plus. Note the significant lack of lip on the Spigen Tough Armor. This is why I'm not happy to use this case, despite the case otherwise being very nice. Tough Armor it is not with such a minimal lip above the screen level.

Yeah, the lack of lip clearance on the Slim & Tough Armor cases has me concerned. Thinking of cancelling my Slim order with Amazon.

I had order both the Neo hybrid and the slim armor, in addition to them arriving late (even though I paid for expedited shipping) I found them to offer fairly little protection, little lip covering the screen, and were very slick or slippery.

Last year I bought a tough armor for my sons iPad mini, and I found that case offered excellent protection and grip.

Not offering much protection, these are going back...

I'm just using my OctoArmor case that I got from amazon. It was a pretty good price, and I just wanted to use it until more reviews came out (so that I could make a well-informed decision) but I really think that I'm going to stick with this one. It fits really nicely, and has saved me from one drop already. I bought two spares, and I'm just going to keep them on hand, should anything bad happen.

I had the Spigen Tough Armor for 5 days, I wasnt happy with it because lack of the lips to protect the screen, not very tight at all on the sides and top corners. Top Corners kept popping off when I pull the 6 out of my pocket.

The spigen tough armor on my old iphone 5 was the best case I ever had, and it was more tighter than the tough armor for the 6.

returning mine this week. Will probably get the speck candyshell. I wish they would had released it just like the version I had on my 5s. Did see someone mention that Obliq has a case that's similar and actually has a high lip.

I really like it so far. The lip is pretty thin so I can still access the edge of the screen but it's big enough to protect the face when I set it down or drop it. It feels really nice in the hands and I've compared it to the tough armor, the pelican voyager, and the otterbox symmetry. The symmetry for the 6 is at least the same thickness as the pelican for the plus.
