Spigen Ultra Hybrid for iPhone 6 - any way to make bumper have better grip?

My wife has the clear version and I have the black. While I like the color of the black bumper on it, the surface finish is much more matte and thus more slippery in my hand. The clear version is glossy on the bumper and feels so much better to hold and to text 1-handed.

Is there any way to make the black (or other color that is not clear) more glossy and tacky without really screwing up this nice case? Thanks!

I know exactly what you mean. I was one of the first to purchase the Neo Hybrid and it is absolutely a beautiful design, but the slippery sides really made it hard for me to use it every day.

And now having experienced other cases like thin TPU clears and the official Apple leather case, the Spigen design is too wide and tall as well.
