Does the Spigen Ultra Hybrid really scratch that easily? All the reviews complain about scratching on the case. My mom has the Rearth Ringke Fusion for her iPhone 5 and there's like, no scratches on it. So I'm wondering if the ultra hybrid scratches easily, because the Ringke Fusion doesn't and these cases look pretty similar to each other.

Yes it scratches easily but my problem wasn't it scratching on the back, it was on the inside. Even when I tried to put it in very carefully the chamfered edge of the iPhone still managed to scratch the inside. I got the Ringke but I liked the look of the Spigen better. Caseology makes one that apears to look very similar to the Ultra Hybrid but I haven't tried it.

So, there's no scratches on the back? Could you provide pictures of the scratches on the inside?

I have a few scratches but there aren't noticeable when you have it on the phone.. The scratches are more like smudges on a piece of plastic. When I add my templates you really don't see them.

For $10 It's still a nice tough case. Now they are $8 on Amazon. I'm waiting for another Ultra Hybrid just ordered. I purchased a few clear cases for my friends and I liked the look on my Grey 5s. So I purchased one to switch up with the Black Ultra Hybrid. Oh the grip is nice too.

No there were some small scratches, but the inside was a major issue every time I took the phone out and back in there would be some form of scratching that would occur from the phone rubbing the inside of the case. I would post some pics but I tossed the case. I bought the Ringke and I didn't have issues with scratches. The Ringke and the Caseology have anti-scratch coating on them the Ultra Hybrid does not.

Do you own the Caseology hybrid case? Do you prefer it over the Ringke and Spigen?

I don't own the caseology case but from what I've seen of the case it looks the closest to the Spigen design. I prefer the Spigen to the Ringke cause the rubber part of the case on the Ringke is too thick in my opinion. If the Spigen didn't have the scratching issue I'd still be rocking it.

My Spigen Ultra Slim Crystal Clear came today. I'm really loving it. When the light hits the screen it looks like there is a clear bevel around the iPhone giving it a different look. I wouldn't worry about the scratches. Like I said, its very minimal. (see first photo).

Looks nice. Keep me updated. :D :)

The spigen ultra hybrid dose scratch no matter where you put it but they are only visible on a angle in the light

I made a bunch of templates for mine. Some times I switch it up and go without them. It's pretty cool. I can mirror the template with the lock screen wallpaper. There is a website where you can make those "Keep Calm.." wallpapers for your iPhone. I made several templates with that on the back and with whatever I found on the web or created in Photoshop. I printed on photo paper to give it some thickness.

So a well made $10 case is money spent imo I don't expect it to last a year but I think it will.

@tvotony exactly. When I got the first Ultra Hybrid I scratched the back when taking the plastic cover off.

Hmmm. I'm still deciding between the Spigen and the Ringke. They're about the same price but I heard that the Ringke doesn't scratch as easily. But now people are telling me that the scratches aren't that visible. Any suggestions?

If you get the Spigen, be careful on how you pull back the protective plastic film. When you put it on your phone the smudges (soft scratches) aren't that noticeable. My Black Ultra hybrid I've had since January. I've been switch it between 2 other cases. By me taking it off/on I knew it was gonna scratch which I'm not worried about. My concerns are with the fit and protection. So far it's been hold up.

Since both cases are the same price, buy them both. I'm happy with my 3 Spigen cases. So much so that I purchased 2 more Ultra Hybrid and gifted them to my friends.

Hi there! I got a question, for the clear case you have, does it turn yellow over time? i think i might end up buying the clear one for myself, i have read that the plastic on the back is more scratch resistant compared to the other ones.

I just got the clear case this week. From some of the reviewers on youtube they did notice that some of the dye from their jeans rub off. I'm not seeing any wear or dye transfer in the last 24 hrs lol. I doubt that I will. If it yellows I will clean it with a micro fiber cloth and maybe wipe it with a Magic eraser.

I wouldn't worry.

I have the champagne gold one (with a clear back) and there are just more fingerprints on it than anything, which you can wipe off. Had it for almost three weeks now and I love it.

Is that the crystal clear air or ultra hybrid? Looks good!

Thanks. It's the Ultra Hybrid Crystal Clear. Sorry for the confusion. (noticed I typed Slim in previous post).
