I have a steady stream of spikes in my network tab of activity monitor despite being idle on the internet, not browsing any pages or downloading anything. Does this mean I am being hacked?

I doubt it, click the tab at the top to show 'all processes' and you will see what activity is causing the spikes in CPU use.

Not spikes in CPU. Spikes in Network. Data received and sent is spiking steadily despite my being idle on the internet. Not talking about spikes in CPU. Spikes in Network. Does this mean I have a trojan/virus/me being hacked? Not spikes in CPU. Spikes in Network.
