Spilled a few drops of water on touchpad and bottom portion not responsive

About a whole centimeter of touchpad space (horizonatal) is no longer responsive after this. Its at the very fron portion of the touchpad. Will it never be responsive again?

If possible, any ways to help fix this?

edit: only responsive if I swipe my finger across fast, but doesnt work at a slow speed.

I would give it some time to dry out. Shut it off, leave it open with something like a small fan blowing across the effected area.

There is a spot on the very botton that isn't responsive anyway. Are you sure this is a new development?

well, I shut off the laptop and let it dry for about an hour and now it seems more responsive so I guess it was due to the water
