I just accidently spilled snapple on my touchpad so I immediately turned my computer off and took out the battery but I have just a couple questions.

1. This is a stupid question, but it's just to set my mind at rest. Do you think a lot of liquid managed to slip through the cracks of the touchpad? (I have the older model MBP)

2. Since snapple is a sugary drink, will it affect my computer at all once it completely dries?

Thanks so much

Most likely. The waterproof macbook hasn't been invented yet.

But by the looks of all the, "I slobbered all over my macbook" threads here lately maybe they should consider it.

Although we can't see what happened, by the looks of things, yep, you're hosed.

The sugar in the snapple will get onto the logic board, rot it, and puff! bang goes the macbook. Sugary drinks are among the worst things to spill on a PCB, along with beef fat obviously.

If that's the case, I think I'm definitely going to look into tutorials on how to open up and clean my MPB. Hopefully I won't mess anything up...

Thanks
