Why is it when I delete the individual web history, that after deleting around 5 or so in a row I get the spinning beach ball thing? It doesn't seem to matter is I delete them in a row fast or do it slowly. I have a 2010 13" MBP upgraded with 8GB of RAM.

You're not the only one, it happens to me too. Clearing history or emptying the cache gives me the beach ball.

I'm on a Mac Mini, so this is a Safari issue, not a MBP issue.
