Spinning Wheel of Death - RAM? 3rd Party Processes?? HELP!

Hi, so i am new here and kinda new to macs when it comes to this kind of stuff.

I snagged a mid 2009 15" MacBook Pro w/ 4GB of memory from my girls dad.
He suggested I not reformat so I could keep accessablity to the CreativeSuite.

I am noticing that I am getting the spinning rainbow disc a lot. It seems the RAM is running out when i use Photoshop and Safari together... here are my processes, maybe yall can find something that loos out of place.

What are your pageouts? Screen shot the memory tab when you're using the programs.
