spinning wheel on firefox?

Lately' I'm noticing that I get the spinning wheel on Firefox a LOT. I usually have only a couple browsers open each with about 3-4 tabs.. and not not going anything heavy duty... yet while surfing I get the pizza wheel when scrolling...

anyone else experience this? :confused: and how do i fix this annoyance?
