Hey guys,
I've been on a mac for a few months now, still coming across things that take me a little bit to figure out, but I'm stumped on this one.

When I go to download, say... a script or .dmg file, a new tab will open in firefox and I'll get the spinning wheel in that tab forever!

Nothing downloads. I've tried downloading the same file in safari also but that's a no go.

I tried d/l a download manager, but I can't even get one... what gives?

Not sure what's going on, but have you tried control clicking (or right clicking) on the download link? This should allow you to select "download linked file" (or "download link target").

Keep in mind that you'll need to know your target destination for downloads (on your hd) if you're going to be able to find your file easily.

:)

With a little more patience I bet I could've figured that out.. thanks man.

Spinning wheel driving me crazy

I am having great trouble downloading anything from firefox or safari the little disk (right hand side) spins forever. All the download paths are present and correct cant see any problems with settings!
Normally a download window appears and the file turns up on the desktop.

Can anyone help?????:(
