As I was just cruising MR I noticed an ad for Spirit Hoods (spirithoods.com) at the bottom of the screen and decided I'd take the opportunity to put in my own plug for a cool company that makes awesome products (in the USA too).

I recently (it arrived in the mail yesterday) got a Red Wolf hood. The fur is fake (their focus is on conservation, with some of the profits going towards saving the animal), but it is very soft. These really are hoods, not hats, so they allow more airflow, meaning that you'll be warm but not sweating, and it'll even stay cool in warmer weather.

The long scarf arms are also nice. They have little mittens/pockets on the end which are very convenient, though a little small for my hands (and my hands aren't that big).

Last great thing is that the hood is a great conversation starter and a chick magnet (or if you are a chick, it's just cute). I've only had it 1 day but I've already had people I don't know come up to me and ask about it. It's nice to be able to tell people about too because it's a company I can really stand behind (younger-generation American start up, sustainable business practices, and environmental responsibility).

So that's my plug. They're way more versatile than you might initially think and I can't imagine any reason why I would change my mind on how awesome it is.

Not sure how I would wear that or what it would go with, but if it works for you more power to you.

Is it supposed to keep you warm? Use as a scarf? Just for dress? Really confused on how you use this.

Looks like something hipsters or an Asian girl would wear.

And $129? Jesus, man. Can't believe people buy such things.

Depending where you are, you may get shot at long before you reach the woods.

Personally, not a fan. Looks like something a 3yr old might wear on October 31st.
A 3 year old would not wear that. They want to get candy on Halloween.

I have a feeling the only chicks you're going to attract will be furry and four legged.

They have hoods that look like wolves, bears and skunks, but they're missing one that looks like the dead animal on Donald Trump's head.
